Objectives

文章的风格：1课文说明：本学期学的三篇议论文风格不一。unit 3 通过前两段推理点题，科学知识需要普及宣传；unit 6 开篇点题动物聪明智慧；unit 3主体是议论，unit 6 主体是举例，unit 8 主体是寓言，unit 8的没有点明白主题是个人社会都需要教育。文章没有结论，主题藏而不露。借人之口说事。

2．词汇学习Ability-inability-disability /Ability to do /capability of / for capacity for/to the best of one’s ability/    

   Accumulate 积累 amass 价高量大的积累 assemble 安装，装配

Affect波动，感染 宾语是主语所促成的结果。Influence潜移默化的影响

Amaze语气强/astonish恐吓/shock出乎意料/ surprise意外

 decline委婉谢绝/deny＝名词，代词，动名词；语气强/refuse＋名词，代词，不定式。/reject语气最重，不符合条件遭拒绝

suggestion 从句用虚拟语气。Advice强调帮助/opinion一般看法

/proposal/比较正式的看法和观点  handful/spoonful/plateful/mouthful/bagful/armful

Senior/ freshman/ sophomore/junior

Compete with/against   to do/ in order to do/ so as to 引导目的壮语
